Noteworthy facts about Calabar ICC
The CICC can host events of all sorts and sizes, with the impressive Main Hall able to accommodate 2,000 delegates.
The total capacity of the CICC exceeds 5,000 spread over the 21 different venues. The smallest committee rooms are suitable for exclusive VIP or board meetings of 10 delegates, while the large conference halls, of which the CICC has four, can easily accommodate any number of delegates, from 200 to 900.
Because many of the meeting venues in the CICC can be easily combined, the CICC offers unrivalled flexibility and scale.
A recent international survey amongst event 3 planners and meeting industry companies revealed that ‘flexibility’ and ‘creativity’ are their key requirements. Event organisers are looking for new formats for meetings and new ideas to engage with visitors. The CICC will be a welcome new meeting venue for Africa and Nigeria that offers a range of almost unlimited possibilities.
In the case of exhibitions for example, a commercial product launch or a poster exhibition accompanying a scientific conference, exhibitors can make use of the elegant foyers adjoining the meeting rooms in the A and C wings.
The foyers can accommodate up to 30 standard exhibition booths of 3 x 3 metres each, while the larger halls on the first floor are perfectly suited for largescale exhibitions.
Convenient power grids are located throughout the CICC, including the halls, allowing for maximum layout flexibility.
